Types of Ferro Alloys

(1) According to the main elements in ferroalloys, it can be divided into ferro silicon, ferro manganese, ferro chrome, ferrov anadium, ferro titanium, ferro tungsten, ferro molybdenum and other ferroalloys.
(2) According to the carbon content in the ferroalloy, it can be divided into high carbon, medium carbon, low carbon, micro carbon, ultra micro carbon and other varieties. Carbon content of 4-8% is a high carbon alloy. Carbon content of 1-2% is a medium carbon alloy. Carbon content of 0.1-1% is a low carbon alloy. Carbon content below 0.1% is a micro carbon ferro alloy.
(3) According to the production method, it can be divided into blast furnace ferroalloys, electric furnace ferroalloys, out-of-furnace (metal thermal) ferroalloys, vacuum solid-state reduction ferroalloys, converter ferroalloys, electrolytic ferroalloys, etc. In addition, there are special iron alloys such as oxide compacts and heat-generating iron alloys.
