Exporting low carbon ferro manganese to Mongolia

Low carbon ferromanganese is a green additive for the steel industry. Its carbon content is controlled below 0.2%, which reduces carbon emissions by 30% compared with traditional products.Last week, we completed an order to ship low carbon ferromanganese from China to Mongolia. Although this is not our first export to Mongolia, this shipment is very different from the previous ones in some aspects.

In the early stage, like other orders, after receiving the advance payment of the customer’s purchase order, you can contact the factory to prepare for production. After the low carbon ferromanganese is produced and passes the quality inspection, the factory will contact the logistics vehicle to deliver the goods to Erlian Port for subsequent customs clearance procedures. At the time of customs declaration, the commodity code classification, cargo content inspection certificate and other documents involved in the export of low carbon ferromanganese must be accurate. As an enterprise with rich export experience, we are equipped with a professional foreign trade compliance team to review all documents in advance to ensure compliance with customs requirements.

Choosing road transportation

Unlike exporting to other countries by sea, choosing road transportation as the delivery method for this batch of goods is a professional decision based on multiple factors. As an inland country, Mongolia lacks direct access to the sea. Taking road transport as the main mode of transportation for ferroalloy trade between China and Mongolia has significant advantages over sea and air transport:

  • High timeliness: road transport has fewer links and faster transit, which can achieve door-to-door direct transportation and greatly shorten the delivery cycle. Especially with the continuous improvement of border port infrastructure, the efficiency of cross-border road transport between China and Mongolia has been significantly improved.
  • High flexibility: road transport can flexibly adjust the shipment volume, departure time, and transportation route according to the characteristics of the goods and customer needs, and is not restricted by fixed trains or ship schedules. It is particularly suitable for the transportation needs of small and medium-sized batches of ferroalloys.
  • Controllable costs: “Door-to-door” service can allow goods to arrive directly from Chinese factories to Mongolian users, avoiding multiple loading and unloading and transshipment, reducing the risk of cargo damage, and making the comprehensive logistics cost more competitive.

At the same time, in order to improve transportation efficiency and reduce the risk of moisture damage and pollution of goods during transportation, we gave up general bulk transportation and chose containers as transportation tools to minimize the damage to goods caused by various external factors during transportation, ensuring that low-carbon ferromanganese is delivered to customers faster and safer.

DAP delivery method

Regarding the delivery method, it is also different from the previous one. This time we agreed with the customer on DAP, which means Delivered at Place, which is an important choice for cross-border transactions in inland areas. Under the DAP terms, we are responsible for delivering the goods to the location specified by the Mongolian customer and bear all risks and costs during the transportation process until the goods arrive at the agreed location for unloading. This model provides great convenience for Mongolian customers and eliminates the complicated cross-border logistics arrangements.
